Looking back so long ago
we shared our vows, even though
we were just too young to know
how blessed we were
And as each passing day went by
the ups and downs and foolish pride
always by each others side
we kept our word
Our son arrived in sixty-one
while the war was going on
I was stationed far from home
so she was brave
But in the year of sixty-three
the angels took him suddenly
all the joy inside of me
just went away
